Colognola ai Colli (Verona, Italy) – 8th January 2026
Vetrerie Riunite announce today that it has decided to access the negotiated crisis settlement process (Composizione Negoziata della Crisi – CNC). This proactive step is intended to address a complex market and operating environment that the Company has been facing since as early as 2022, and which intensified further throughout 2024 and 2025.
In recent years, the Company has operated in an extraordinary economic and geopolitical context, marked by sharp increases in energy and raw material costs, as well as growing competitive pressure from lower-cost foreign competitors. These factors have progressively affected Vetrerie Riunite’s competitiveness in both the domestic and European markets. While the Company has already implemented a number of measures to mitigate these pressures, the broader market context continues to require decisive and structured action.
Within this framework, and following further analysis and discussions with the foreign authorities, the Company confirms that the planned strategic partnership with the Turkish group Yorglass will not proceed, as the transaction did not obtain the necessary regulatory clearances. This outcome has required Vetrerie Riunite to reassess its future development and sustainability on an independent basis.
Against this backdrop, the Company has decided to make use of the negotiated crisis settlement process as the most appropriate framework to support business continuity aiming for a sustainable path forward. The decision represents a difficult but necessary step, taken after careful consideration and with a strong sense of responsibility toward all stakeholders.
Vetrerie Riunite will continue to operate with transparency and commitment, with the primary objective of protecting the Company, its employees, as well as its suppliers, customers and other stakeholders. The recovery plan to be developed and assessed together with the experts appointed within the framework of the negotiated crisis settlement procedure will continue to focus on production optimization, increased automation and cost-efficiency measures, with the aim of strengthening competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
